ECHO India conducted another Orientation and Immersion event on 5-7th December 2018 and received an exceptional response. The Orientation on day 1 was attended by 104 people from across the country. The keynote address was given by Dr. Manohar Agnani, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The Orientation witnessed an insightful Panel Discussion – Need for capacity building of healthcare providers in India, where the panelists included Dr. Sanjeev Arora – Director of Project ECHO and Dr. Rajani R Ved – Executive Director of National Health Systems Resource Centre.
The Orientation was followed by 2-days Immersion, an in-depth training which was attended by 59 participants from replicating partners. Some of the key participating institutes and organizations were National Institute of Cancer Prevention and Research, National Health Systems Resource Centre, CanKids…KidsCan, National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences and many more.
