The World No Tobacco Day was celebrated on 31 May this year on the theme “Protecting youth from industry manipulation and preventing them from tobacco and nicotine use”. An online zoom session was conducted with insightful talks by Dr. Suzanne Nethan, NICPR-ECHO (India) & Dr. Amit Yadav, University of California (USA) on the various tobacco industry tactics to attract the youth towards tobacco use. A virtual poster competition was also held for children aged 9 to 17 years on this theme. The event saw widespread participation from across the country.
